A strong market forgives all sins, or at least it has until now. With all of the activity in shipping, many of the recent investors are new since 2020, attracted by lockdown storage plays, sanction driven tonne mile growth, Houthi rockets and Red Sea disruptions and the like. But for those who remember the 2010s, recent management activity is pulling off old scabs and even some new investors are getting a tutorial in shipping governance.

The 2019 Capital Link had all the fire-works you could want, with leading equity analyst Jonathan Chappell walking out in disgust. Other analysts have had their spats with Scorpio over the years as well.

This was coming off the Scorpio 10-1 stock reverse split, the stock had been down 50% the last two years, and so on.

But management remained bullish - as always - and eventually found their bull-market. Recently memorializing that into prosperity with $59M in stock sales between the Chairman and the CEO.
